Oops. I Forgot Something.

The thing I forgot was that I actually did finish my NaNoWriMo novel on time and with the correct word count. How could I have done that?

And that is why pretty much only Lester reads my blog.

Snake of the Month- Emerald Tree Boa

Who doesn't like snakes? (Too many people, sadly.) Maybe now my blog will be educational as well as absurd

The Emerald Tree Boa
Corallus caninus, also known as the emerald tree boa, is a nonvenomous member of the boa species, and can be found in the Amazon Basin region of South America. Adult emerald tree boas can grow up to 6 feet long. Their diet consists mainly of small mammals, but they have also been known to eat small birds, frogs, and lizards. The fang teeth of the emerald tree boa are probably the largest (compared to body size) of any other nonvenomous snake.

The emerald tree boa is green with yellow scales on its belly and irregular white stripes down its back. Young emerald tree boas start out being different shades of orange or brick red, but turn their adult shade of green after nine to twelve months. The species is diversifying and acquiring slight differences in appearance based on location, so some scientists are saying that a new subspecies should be created.

The emerald tree boa is similar in appearance to the green tree python, which lives in Australia and southeast Asia, but they are only very distantly related and are not to be confused with each other.

Thanks, Wikipedia.

Update on NaNoWriMo

My initial feelings about NaNoWriMo: Yay! This is so awesome! This book is going to be the best one ever...

My current feelings about NaNoWriMo: Ack.

That's all. Ack.

It's not going badly or anything. In fact, I have close to 100 pages of writing right now. Recently, however, I have become very busy and have not had the time to sit down and write.

Thankfully, I still have 11 more days to complete the other 53% of my novel that needs to get done.

(Just so you know, I cut out the hysterical laughter that ensued once I figured these statistics out.)

Rain

What is this stuff that is falling from the sky? Earlier, I took a walk outside, and I got wet! Oh, wait... I remember something similar happening a few centuries ago. People say it's supposed to be normal, but I'm still not sure about it.

That New 'Heroes of Olympus' Book

This is awful! There are so many people in the library waiting list for The Blood of Olympus. I am never going to be able to read it... Unless...

If anyone from my Eleanor Roosevelt school who is reading this right now has a copy and they are willing to let me borrow it, I will be eternally thankful to them.

If not, I will have to suffer through 256 more people checking out the library system's copies, reading them, letting them get overdue, and then returning them. Yes, 256.

Ooh... I could buy it myself! I wanted to do that with The Book Thief, but once I decided on that, every single copy I could have bought vanished. Just vanished. It's not fair.

But until then, all this waiting might kill me. (Not really.)

The problems of today's world are really... strange?

Oh my gosh, I got 100 views on this blog.

That means that, in all the history of this blog, it has been looked at 100 times by people who are not me!

That's all.

Good bye.
